Not full tracking area during scanning

Hello. When scanning objects in Track Scan mode, the tracker often loses the scanner from view on the left side. The app displays the scanner within view. However, as soon as you move closer to the left, the tracker immediately loses the scanner and flashes its LEDs like a Christmas tree.

What could be the problem?

Hi @Parashut

You need to put the Tracker at a bigger distance , you can monitor the distance in the software on bottom left and see how far it is .

The range can improve to couple meters if you put it enough far away from your scanned location .

After 4 days of operation, the tracker’s range decreased. Here is a video showing how the tracker constantly loses the scanner.

Hi @Parashut

Can you send an email to customer@revopoint3d.com

I suspect here is calibration issue between the tracker and the scanner , please advice by the Customer service and don’t forget to include the link to this thread for references .

Did you have a solution. I now have the same issue.

Tracker is just christmast lights now. I have maybe 30cm2 area to move around even on perfect positioning. Everything is Poor or not enough cloud points.

Hi @serdarbas

Please contact customer@revopoint3d.com
Make a video showing up your issues in real time , the technitian will help you out .

If you have only 30 cm scanning area you need to set the tracker at a bigger distance , or make screenshot of your software showing the area is small at big distance as well .

It will help determine the issue much faster .

Hi ,@serdarbas I recalibrated it. After each step, the scanner and tracker said that the calibration was OK. After the calibration procedure, everything worked as it should. I still don’t understand why this happened. It seems more like some kind of software bug.

Hi @AmandaHamilton

The range if the scanning is very helpful, it can remove tur background while scanning it cut the large portion of your scanned area , important to set it up each time before scanning , manually settings will always provide the best results since not one object is the same .
