I have the wonderful chance to be beta tester for Range 3D scanner, thank you Revopoint.
The newest 3D scanner is mainly for large objects, you can scan with it furniture, full body scan using the new turning table, sculptures, statues, car parts or anything you can think of. It is made for big objects. (some objects might require spraying with 3Dscanning spray)
I personally use it to scan art: sculptures and statues, garden ornaments.
Because of infrared structured light it emits you can scan objects in full RGB colour
The Range scanner captures a enormous amount of data providing high quality point cloud witch will result in a very good 3D scan. No issues with tracking because of it’s big Field of view. Scanning with it in general is very fast, you can have a mesh in minutes.
Below are pictures with what you get in the package but also pictures to compare with Mini 3D scanner. You also got a picture with the 500mm turning table and the fancy remote control, Revopoint provided. I totally recommend this 3D scanner, i like it so much and it’s really amazing what you can scan with it. Mesh quality on big scans it’s just mindblowing. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
This is my first scan with Revopoint Range and i’m very happy with the result.
Size: 36cm height and 17cm in the widest point.
3D scan of Abstract Statue Sandstone Resin Keep Silent
Hi @Simos the MINI is 0.02mm the Range is actually 0.1mm so range has less details , you can’t compare the 2 scanners as that will be a question like what is better a Microscope or Telescope .
You can’t scan object at the size with MINI , neither Range is replacement for MINI or POP2, they still have higher accuracy .
