Miraco Plus Calibration Boards

I upgraded my Miraco Pro to the new Plus version, which I have received. The Plus came with large calibration boards that differ from the ones that came with the Pro. Do I need both sets of calibration boards, or can I get rid of the older boards and just use the new ones that came with the Plus?

Hello, please only use the new calibration board for MIRACO Plus.

Miraco Pro was delivered with the ā€œbigā€ dots. Miraco Plus has smaller dots on the big calibration board.

Yes, I can see that. My question was ā€œIs there any reason to keep the old ā€˜big dots’ boards?ā€. Revopoint-Jane has answered in the negative, so I’ll get rid of them.

That is correct @casterle you don’t need the old calibration boards anymore . They don’t works with MIRACO Plus , but do not throw them out , you can sell it , if I don’t mistake Range can use the big one too , and many KS users with Miracos don’t have them .

Thanks for the information. I’ll put them up on eBay.

wait what??

More specific pls ?

you said "if I don’t mistake Range can use the big one too "

makes me think the RANGE can use the PMK but an earlier version.

I was talking about big calibration boards as the topic was about calibration boards not PMK

Not even early version of Miraco can use PMK successfully, I did all internal testing with our beta group already .

You see PMK uses both Near and Far mode at the same time , that why you have small details on a big objects . The whole reason of PMK

Not Range or other scanners have that capacity or hardware to support it , not even regular Miraco or Miraco Pro

That’s the first time I heard that explanation about the specific issue with the older hardware. That information makes sense! Thank you.

Not only with older hardware , I did run Miraco Plus firmware on my Miraco Pro to really test out if things can be done before Miraco Plus release was in question . But the quality test did not passed the expectations , that why Miraco Plus came to light with adjusted newer hardware .

The original idea of PMK was intended for Miraco PRO as add , I am so tired from all the conspiracy theorists around the Internet about Revopoint not making it on purpose .
But that is not true , because I strongly advised against it as it did not meet my expectations either.

I may working part-time for Revopoint but I am not endorsing products that do not meet my expectations . I am here for my honest opinions .

interesting… well, correct me if I am wrong but april tags are whats on the PMK parts right? In my head, RevoScan software should be able to track based off of april tags, almost like how the global marker tracking works for tracking dots… april tags should be a tracker or tag that any scanner can read through the RevoPoint software. It’s just some lines of code that should be able to enable the RevoScan software to read them… thus… the PMK parts should easily be readable based on my understanding of how they are used.

You already got the max you can get from Range , scanning using other tags will help you nothing , it will be still the same result as you scan with markers or global markers or without .

You clearly don’t understand the process of PMK and I am not going to explain it to you for the 4th time in a row , just let it go already .
