Do you have both X and X Pro in the product card? Does this mean that the old x that you have on hand also programmatically improves the accuracy and speed of scanning, or does the new scanners have a new hardware? Then why isn’t metro X gen 2 called?
It is just improved version of MetroX with different hardware , please check the specifications under the product page , the MetroX standard is slightly faster in Revo Metro but the hardware is the same.
MetroX Pro is just improving to MetroX standard , it is not replacement for MetroY Pro
I do not agree with you about the 4 additional lines in the cross mode, the difference is insignificant, as for the single line mode, it may make sense, but it seems to me that its importance is greatly overestimated.
Yan, it seems you like to make statements about your opinion on subjects as if they bear a lot of weight! Yet based on your track record of previous statements and this current statement, you don’t have a clue what you are talking about, and your opinion is nothing but hot air, so unless you have something of value to add to conversations here, I will offer you some advice. Best be thought stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt! Now run along and have a nice day.
Thank you for letting me go, that’s generous. otherwise, I am not at all interested in your opinion, as well as any others who are not able to evaluate my question. I am a sophisticated user and I know what I need from a scanner, I know how a toy differs from a working tool. from what I see, they sold us one scanner twice with a price difference of one and a half times. If you’re new, just don’t interfere when the big uncles are talking.
No Value …
ignores advice and opens mouth
And to top it off, assures us he is a sophisticated user
and yet has not helped anyone on the forum and your expert opinion on hydraulic valve body scan requirements to a person who is teaching classes and has 20+ years of industry experience. yep doubt removed
p.s. experts don’t tell people they are experts, it’s in their actions and statements. I’m not an expert just been doing silly things long enough to make a living from it
I’m answering you for the last time, I’m not interested in your opinion. there is no doubt about the teacher’s competence, unlike you, he understood this. I had concerns about the capabilities of the scanner and the demonstration of its capabilities. And in this topic, I found out the question that interests me, namely, do I understand correctly that the objective difference between the x pro and the y pro is the presence of one line and nothing else? It looks like there’s another difference, it’s the built-in WiFi. I have yet to find out how much a single line of communication helps, and perhaps combined with the wireless interface, this justifies the price difference, about $400.
Opinion? I’m using your statements and actions on this forum! So those are facts. I am simply making observations, and anyone who reads your entire list of posts will realise you are not on this forum with the intent of participating in a community but to simply place doubt and to undermine in each and every one of your initial statements on a subject, then immediately backpedal when confronted. Now, my opinion, you, Sir, are a Muppet
A single laser line can cost oven around $900 it is a very expensive component .
Please do not accuse Revopoint for scamming their customers , because I will have to block you for doing it without any legal proof , you are in the house of Revopoint and their own private community , please behave and be careful with your accusations especially if you don’t know yet as much about the products and what it is worth on the market.
now there is competition and $ 900 is an outdated price, on the contrary, there used to be few lines, but now there are crossings in inexpensive solutions. I’m trying to figure out what the new product is. I am not accusing you of fraud, there is no need to manipulate or threaten you with blocking, although now I have seen that the annotation to the Y pro scanner has been edited and the ability to scan in color in all five modes has been removed, someone bought it because of this advertising slogan.
I am not treating you with anything , I just need to process things according to the forum TOS , I am responsible for everything that happening in this community . Any accusations are not allowed , no matter against a person or the company , don’t allow yourself to get out of the cage , keep it civilized .
The color scanning with MetroY Pro will be available later in time, the R&D team spends much longer time on the Revo Metro MAC version than it was planned . The information was removed temporary on my request to avoid confusion , until it is restored again.
So are you an owner of MetroY Pro already ? Or you still hunting for one and can’t decide yet ?
I DO have a Metro Y Pro that was delivered yesterday, and now I’m worried that I could have received 95% of that scanner for about 60% of the price. I really stretched to get the Y Pro because it was a decent deal for what you got at the time. Now I’m not so sure. That’s why I wanted to know the difference between the two.
It sounds like the difference is a few extra laser lines that will marginally increase the speed, and the single laser line mode that helps with deep pockets. Is this correct? From a functionality standpoint, that seems like a big jump up in price(percentage-wise). I’m no expert, though.
I’m not trying to be snarky here, I really just want to know if I should be packing up the Y Pro to order an X Pro and save $500. I want to know what I would gain/lose by trying to switch at this point.
hi, as you could see, I also wondered this question, and now I have definitely decided for myself that the possibility of working wirelessly is already worth the overpayment, and given that, as it turned out, one line allows you to shoot in high detail, I fully understand the new position in the store, I admit that I jumped to conclusions.
1 centimeter opening and 5 cm deep , what is very important especially when you scanning auto mechanical parts and moldings.
Then you have additional laser lines under cross line mode what will speed up collection the frames a lot faster .
Then you have cable free scanning
Ability to use Mirror app with the software where the power is used of your computer and visualization happening on your phone and tablet
Among other stuff , and the price is still cheap considering other 3D scanners on the market that are more expensive yet do not have 5 scanning modes with 3 technologies used.
I would not want get lower than current MetroY Pro , it has everything needed , 5 scanners in one for different situations.
