Just saw the Trackit 3D Scanner! So exciting, no more manually placing markers!

Just found out that Revopoint is coming out with a new spherical scanner, and from what I’ve understood so far, its features are pretty similar to those of a high-end piece of gear.
The coolest part is that it can scan large areas without needing any markers, which is super useful for scanning things like cars or boats that don’t have a lot of clear features.

What you guys think about this new product?

Technically possible to upgrade the current Metrox (with tracker and the sphere)?
I guess that the tracker and the sphere providing additional position data for the laser scanner to avoid tracking loss. So if Metrox is mounted into such a marker sphere it should work.

Technically all scanners could work with system like that , but one issue here, the calibration , the other scanners sensors are at different position so it would require calibration each time you change the main scanner.

Technically possible , but unlikely you will be able to do it by yourself without RSM supporting it.

But as an upgrade the calibration should only be once.
Was just an idea for all Metrox users.

Thank you.
