My TCL Nxtwear S glasses have a magnetically attached shade, which unfortunately is semi-transparent and therefore lacks some contrast when watching movies in bright surroundings. I needed an opaque shade. Metro X to the rescue.

Three (using the latest version 5.6.5 of Revo Scan) quick and easy cross-lines and parallel-line mode scans that I stitched together and used for a quick reverse engineering surface in Quicksurface (and a little in Fusion 360).

3D printing on my competitor K1 Max with the darkest filament I had available (dark green LW PLA). Two magnets glued in and the problem was solved.

I could have scanned longer and fused at higher settings, but I just needed an accurate template for reverse engineering. I’ve also never used this filament before, so I didn’t tuned it in yet.
