In Revo Scan I have entered another folder for all my Scan data. And the program gets that,
…except every time I’ve restarted the software, make a scan and then go to Export. Then it always finds itself in that god forsaken handylookdata folder.
It doesn’t seem like I can do a lot more than I already have.
Can you please get rid of this standard directory in the program?

Have you specified the file Location (oddly, to be found in the Multi-Language popup menu)?
I often have the same problem. It doesn’t help that the default folders for Revo Scan and Revo Studio are not the same.
One workaround is, when you Export a file, is to manually maneuver to the desired folder and also change the file name from the default. After this, the same folder tends to be used (remember that installing a new version of Revo Scan requires duplicating this sequence each time).

Yep the file location ( under multi-language settings ) is set to D:\3D Scan.
It works fine when I start a new project, it creates it in that directory. I always use custom project-names instead of the long default ones.
However when I want to export something after a scan, it always opens up the C:\User\Handyjob folder first and I have to force it back to the project folder manually.
I looked through the log file just now and the contents of that folder is loaded everytime I connect the scanner. So it seems to be hard-coded somewhere ?
I can’t remember that there were any settings for this during the installation? I might try a re-install anyway. It’s not that big of a deal but it annoys me that I’m not in charge of where files are saved.

Yes. I have reported this bug a couple times. Seems to be very low priority.
It annoys me too that saving a scan is such a pain, and even if one specifies a folder within Handylookdata saving a scan does not necessarily go to that folder automatically.first .
I’ve found over many different software programs, the overall image is more successful if the ‘trivial’ problems are solved quickly rather than the system remaining as ‘clunky’ or ‘idiosyncratic’, great facilities but awkward in use.
