also, we are missing the ADA generation (the most current) of Quadro cards. These are a lot faster and should be added as well. They are designated RTX 1000,3000,5000,6000. I’m about to get a new laptop and it’ll have the RTX 5000.
Nvidia Quadro RTX 3000, 5000 , 6000 should be added soon
The Quadro RTX 1000 will not make it, it is below the minimum requirements .
Ok, what about A4000? I want to know if I should start looking at other scanners or not.
It was definitely a mistake . Already reported to the team they will check tonight.
that is a great information. Will it be released in next SW version, like in 2-3 months? (5.6.6 or something like this?)
Probably much early , it don’t really need 2 months waiting time . That’s a easy fix .
What about non super versions of the RTX 2000 series?
Please consider also quadro rtx 4000 which is something between 3000 and 5000 ![]()
I understand , please contact customer@revopoint3d.com
For technical assistance in this case , I don’t have here any tools to help you out with.
I really hope it was just a mistake , because this version of graphic card should be already supported in older version. I checked and it is .
So someone made mistake or something else going on .
The Technical support will help you out .
P.S I sent note to the team about it again. Hopefully tonight we get response on this matter
It would be helpful if the downloads page included a text or link listing compatible GPUs, in addition to the manual and software. This would help users optimize their setups and avoid compatibility concerns.
And although I see that this refers to RevoScan for the METROX, I’m posting the following link here because I believe it may also suffer from the same issue as RevoScan5 for the MINI 2: the bottleneck might be caused by the software itself, as it seems to execute all processing on a single thread.
Hi @Karonteco81
This thread is about GPU acceleration in Revo Scan 5 MetroX .
RevoScan MetriX uses GPU only for scanning and nothing else , the software is CPU based , and all processing go through CPU , RSM requires multi core and threading CPU at least 8 cores and 16 threads.
My RevoScan Metrox runs the CPU at maximum 70% while processing and while scanning my GPU acceleration runs at 65%
Don’t open other software on your screen while processing as it will automatic slow down the software CPU processing.
Regarding RevoScan5 I will answer you later in your other thread.
RevoScan5 don’t use GPU acceleration and you can use any graphic card with it . The GPU list is exclusive for RevoScan5 MetroX
Guys new RevoScan 5.6.6 MetroX is released , please check out your Nvidia graphic cards with GPU acceleration
You asked you got , please check out your graphic cards and let us know how they perform .
Note: This time, the restriction on NVIDIA graphics cards has been lifted, and all series of NVIDIA graphics cards are supported. Some graphics cards may have compatibility issues such as no point cloud or crash. If there are the above problems your card may be not good enough, in this case can use CPU acceleration to collect the model numbers of graphics cards with problems.
This version does not actively push software updates to users.
How about RTX A2000 support?
There are no more restriction regarding Nvidia RTX graphic cards being used, but lower end cards may not give you faster GPU acceleration results than CPU .
As always the requirements are the goal to get it work proper at full capacity.
Does this mean the rtx pro 5000 Blackwell is also supported?
Hi @phantom1 you just need to test it out yourself , there is not official list outside the recommend specifications.
Hello to all.
Im buying a new desktop workstation;
AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 32-Core 3.60 GHz (5975WX), Cache 128 MB and
NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 and 64GB DDR4 for start. Will that be ok or does i need to go to Intel proc? thanks
Hi @Franc
That’s a nice system , but if you are going to use Trackit, MetroX, MetroY Series or INSPIRE 2 , RTX quadro cards are rather not recommended for GPU acceleration using Revo Metro-Tracking or MetroX
Thank you. I have a Metro Y pro (Using on my Zbook (i7-10750H CPU, with 64gb RAM and RTX3000 for notebook) It works, but not fast. Im using it for Solidworks (In general mould making CAM - solidcam and some constructon of moulds and sometimes for some rendering), so a quadro is a must.
