Hi, Will there be an option to change the colour of the laser lines in the software in the future. It might just be me but the colour is similar to the actual scan and its sometimes hard to see.
Additionally and I think I put a post in another part of the forum but an extra option for extra fine zoom would be amazing!.
The normal zoom is great but when you need to get into hard to reach places, some extra zoom options would be great !
No complaints, just been doing a lot of scanning and these are 2 things I think would make the software even better
The color was just changed in the preview , but the laser line colors don’t matter as much as long the object turns one color , you can always go back if you missed area .
I wish indeed that there was more contrast to the colors but make sure you capture always at least 10.000 frames regardless in small objects .
Thank you for your suggestions, they are always welcome !
Thanks for the response. I have no issues capturing anything or getting enough frames it just when I stare at the computer while scanning, I’m sure in previous versions it was easier to see the laser lines in the software so that you know you are scanning in the right place, but as the model starts getting complete, it gets harder to see the virtual laser lines.
Did you say the colour has now changed? .
How more frames are captured in the area how less lines you will see , and the lines are not so important but the final color of the finished scan is the indicator that it is ready .
Before there was little more contrast , nie it is less , that maybe why .
I always monitor the frames and the final color if the scan.
But I understand , I will forward your suggestion .
Totally understand and I do always make sure the colour has fully changed. I think its dependent on different use cases. For me, I have an ongoing contract that I am using the Trackit for to scan hand crafted high detailed animals. The issue is where I might miss a little detail in a hard to reach place, and when I go back over that area I end up guessing a little on where the scanner is actually laying the laser lines down. Obviously I can see the real lasers on the animals, but I’m going over high detailed areas sometimes witching to the single laser. I can still see them, its just gets a little harder Not a complaint though, however if there was an option for being able to zoom in a couple of stops more than the standard one time zoom, I would take that over seeing the laser lines more clearly
Thanks for the response though and fingers crossed for future features
It would be nice if these types of changes were turned into options or settings.
I’d like to see the ability to change the color display from scan quality to other types of information, such as exposure or distance. For exposure, the depth camera preview barely shows laser lines on anything but white surfaces or markers. For distance, the bar graph distance meter doesn’t give you any clue as to where in your shot your actual object falls versus marker balls, etc. Then add the ability to assign the M button to cycle through the various color displays.
I do agree , that would be the best option to change the color manually.
I think having more options for contrast colors while scanning with laser would improve the visual part and I mean here object vs scanned already area because it is most important task.
