Does the manual alignment do an automatic fine adjustment after points are placed, or do we still need to use CloudCompare for this?
Really just want to do a coarse alignment to help the automatic alignment when the parts have too much rotational symmetry.
If the scans do have the same unique features on both scans, the Revo software will do automatic micro adjustment by picking up the best frames from both scans to merge it completely into a new scan so you don’t have to do anything after, but the result will depends of how well you place the points and of course the features .
Even if you don’t place the points exactly on the same points the software will still adjust it based on features.
Definitely seemed to be doing that, just wanted to make sure.
Loving the huge leaps that have occurred since I kickstarted the Pop2. Finally getting a chance to use some scans for reverse engineering at work, and am loving the results!
