DIY Photogrammetric Metrology Kit?

Since the Photogrammetric Metrology Kit is using april tags, can anyone confirm the size of the pieces in the Photogrammetric Metrology Kit? I am also really interested in the Scale Bars! I just stumbled on a thread where it sounds like this kit will work for my RANGE, the older kit and not the newer one.

The Miraco Pro Plus Photogrammetry kit works because of the 2 step procedure in the software on the MIRACO PLUS. You first take the photos with the inbuilt 48Mp camera, the scanner records the “constellation” of the markers, then applies that global marker calculation to the scanned frames (from my understanding)
I am not sure how that could work with a RANGE scanner ?
I still have a RANGE scanner so I will be happy if it does work

It will not works with any other Miraco Version or Range scanner , I don’t know how made that claims but that is totally not true . You need Miraco Plus to capture it first to make it works .

and if you think you can use the tags as marker points then that is wrong approach . PMK needs Tags and Markers together to be successful and it can works only on MIRACO PLUS

I think the secret sauce is in the software… you see, when they announced global marker tracking I immediately asked why they didn’t make it available for all scanners on reddit… id say… not even two weeks later it was available for all scanners.

IRL… I believe in manifestation… so together it sounds like we want this and so it shall be done.

I might not have used my words properly or you misunderstood them, no claims were made that it will work with the RANGE, I was asking if it does or not… also asking if someone can provide the dimensions of the PMK… like the dimensions of the square april tags, and the dimensions of the scale bars with april tags…

the way I think of it… even if the RevoScan app could read and utilize april tags alone… that would be a win! for me, the scale bars would ensure all scans are to exact scale and not be even slightly off.

I mean I get it, the range isn’t metrology grade but I think with scale bars and april tags we could get closer to having the bolt holes p[properly scanned to be exact unlike this scan were the scanned data wasn’t as exact as I would’ve liked. Thats why I hope they make it so that the MetroX can support the PMK as ill be making a purchase for one.

Also, I’m no expert but fully aware that more than just the tags would be needed, the markers are crucial!

actually look… you were the one who mentions the RANGE could use something along the lines of the larger PMK?

It will not happen because we already go through that phase .
It did not even worked out on Miraco /Pro and you want it with a scanner that don’t even support the hardware that is required.

The answer for that reason is NO

You can’t compare simple global markers to PMK , global markers are the same as regular markers saved under a cloud totally different animal than PMK

On top not other scanners support the required camera resolution .

It is about calibration boards not PMK you misunderstood the whole thread and topic .

Nothing to do with PMK

If that was so easy there would be not Miracos Plus created .
