Default File Location not updating

Hello, one of my coworkers is having an issue with Revoscan 5.5.3 not saving a new file path for the Default File Location in the preferences window. No matter what he puts it defaults back to the file path that is currently stored. we’ve tried different file paths both on the local machine as well as on our file server. we’ve tried restarting the application after changing the file location but it seems to still contain the original file path. At one point it did work because the file path that is stored is not the default location that is assigned during install. My guess is that there could be a windows security update that might be interfering with Revoscan and not allowing an overwrite to occur on whatever preference file that contains the default file location data. Only thing we haven’t tried yet is a complete uninstall and reinstall of the application.

Application is running on Win11 Pro version 24H2.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @kanakaRed the path need to be on the main local system location because the software needs to access it in real time , changing the path to anything but the SSD is s a bad idea , it can interfere with the scanning and processing speed .
Make sure the path is not secured by the Windows System against writing .

Please update to RevoScsn 5.5.4
