Better laptop specs for pop4 3d scanner

Hi! Total newbie on 3d scanning here.

I preordered the pop4 3d scanner and I will have to get a new laptop.

I have 2 differents laptops wiith differents specs.

ultra7 255 hx 64go ram and rtx5070 8gb

Ultra9 275hx 32go ram and Rtx5070ti 12gb

so i would know which one would be better or faster for 3d scanning with the pop4.

I think most of my future scans will be for small to medium items made with cross laser or single laser mode.

I know that the the 2 laptops are above the minimum requirements, but will there be a huge differnce between the 2 for 3d scanning.

Sorry to ask a such idiot question but as I said Iam a total newbie in that area.

Of these two, you should choose the first option, as it has more RAM, or alternatively, purchase additional memory for the second configuration. I don’t think you’ll notice a difference in scanning speed between them, given the other specifications.

So If I understand correctly, the Ram capacity is a more important parameter than the graphic. card spec.

As for the processor it will not make much a difference between these two.

The two configs were around in the same price range but if I need to add more ram for the U9, I will take the U7 version,

Hi @Drz34 since you already have good GPU , go for the first one with 64GB , the other have great speed but the amount of RAM is what I would not go for in this case.
