I have a background that sometimes starts to show up (dark blue below). It is carbon fiber. ITs creating problems when it does not show up as i cant level the sample.
Doing an OEM automated application incorporating the inspire II, if it was just 1 off scans, this is not a problem.
I am doing dark scans with highest resolution setting.
These are taken with identical lighting.
Its flooded with markers in the images just for debugging purposes.
I am using the SDK right now but noticed the same thing happens inside revo metro software so its likley something in firmware or sometime of setting?
The background is showing because it is scanned by the sensor because you are using settings for dark objects , decrease the exposure of the Depth camera but it can affect how you will be able to capture the dark object , I would recommend you are lifting the object with some acrylic and not s an it direct on the background , there is no other way to avoid it scanning . The scanner just do exactly what you set it to do and nothing wrong with it.
what I am asking is why it scans different each day. Nothing is changing in our setup. Is there a setting we can change. We cant change the background it is on as we are shooting xray through it.
The only settings are under Depth exposure , but changing that may affect how the object is captured. It is recommended to not use the same materials level , or elevate the object slightly and use the range setting to ignore the background while scanning .
Again it is not the scanner issue , that are physics that can’t be changed but there is a way around as I mentioned above .
The scanner was created to capture everything it sees in front of it at the same distance.
