I have been involved in the “Aussie Invader” Land speed record project since1984 as a technical illustrator, 3D designer and project photographer.
My good friend Rosco McGlashan (OAM) holds the Australian Land Speed record of 802.6 km/h with a jet powered car. The team has now built a new rocket car aiming for 1600kph. Rosco McGlashan OAM – Aussie Invader 5R
I left my island home in Queensland on the East coast to visit Western Australia last week and caught up with Rosco. We have used 3D scanners many times for the construction of this huge rocket car, but this was the first time I could show the Aussie Invader team the MIRACO 3D Scanner.
I made a quick 3D scan of Rosco over a cup of coffee, just to show how easy and accurate this scanner is to use.We will be using the MIRACO for rapid prototyping for new parts.
