Asking for advice

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding 3D scanners, as I am new to this field. I am working on a project where I need to scan train tracks and obtain coordinate data from the scanner in real-time.

Which Revopoint scanner would be the most suitable for this task? Also, what key factors should I consider when choosing a scanner for this type of application?

I’d really appreciate any insights or recommendations. Thank you in advance!

I don’t understand what you mean by receive coordinate data in real time? Are you talking like a CMM or faro arm? These scanners are not going to do that. You could set a feature to be your “origin point” and then do a scan and use separate software to measure from that origin point to different points.

@Buse

coordinate data in real time are not provided with Revo Scan software.

I don’t think Revopoint Scanners are for that job. Unless you talking about models of train track and not real train tracks.
