It should not make big difference as long there are always at least 3 markers visible at all the time in the FOV .
And as always, you do what works best in your workflow .

I am getting much better results now, I suspect the big shiny headlamp in the middle of the scan isnt helping much.
I havent applied any spray to the vehicle at all, it seems to pick up the shining white paint quite well.
I tried both Marker mode and Feature mode, this is one single scan.

Have you used feature mode or marker mode?
Where did you get the markers?
Hi, I tried both methods, Feature mde seemed to work better.
Another factor could be that I was working outside, after sunset.
It is nearly winter here, so the car was accumulating Dew quite quickly.
I would really like to try this inside a Shed 
I made the cubes on my 3D printer.
