Streak lines during laser scan

Like Nickluvin said, it is because of missing data. If you fuse and mesh at higher settings / denser than you collected data, the software will have to interpolate missing point and the surface won’t look clean ,neither.

In laser mode I aim for about 9000 frames or more for a clean(er) surface, depending on object size and surface details. I would definitely prefere full-field or even quzo-turntable for this figure.

In laser mode brightness and exposure settings can intensify the lines ,too beause of microreflections.

Try to catch at least 10.000 frames Each object requires different approach so not really one solution for everything , laser scanning is time consuming , avoid to stay too much in one place , move it back and forth as much as possible from different angles. The laser settings also will impact the results so testing out the proper brightness first in small part to ensure you have the best settings .

So, metroX offers different scan modes for different purposes. As you see, full field mode or auto-turntable is better for an object like that, faster and easier.
