RevoScan 6 iOS update

I know i have asked a few weeks ago about an ETA for pop4 support from the Kickstarter, I was told soon. Is this still coming soon? I would like to take it with my pop4 to scan outdoors. I cant very well do that with my laptop as it throttles the graphics card when not on power cord.

Hi @Tobby96

It was planned for the middle of July so hopefully this weekend if no issue and it passes the final testing .

That’s all I know for today

Any update on the release? I could REALLY use this right now, as I need to scan something on my boat. Thanks!

Hi @RevoPete

I will ask tonight if there is any ETA for the release of the iOS version .
I know there are some updates for this weekend planned already but not sure if iOS will be included .

Hi, is there an update for us iOS users waiting patiently? 6.3 is out and no mention of iOS support.

Bummer. Had I known it would take so long I probably would not have pre-ordered.

August now? I was told in email last week that i was supposed to be end of July. Well, It will support quite a bit of scanners, so i guess i cant complain, as i cannot code ios either  Hopefully it wont discourage all the ones that were told that it would be released when the kickstarter for the Pop4 ended. If it takes till Next week, which IS August, thats okay as long as it isnt buggy

Is the IOS version going to support mobile laser scanning? With iPad pros running on M chips now just like Macbooks, you’d assume they have enough processing power to do a decent FPS of laser mode scanning.

Hi @Tobby96

It did not passed the bug tests , the office is closed until August the second due to heat wave for that reason also the delay .

Nothing is more frustrating than a buggy app

Hi @grimmx

It can’t use laser mode , the frame speed would be too slow for any proper work. It is not just the laser mode but also the whole processing of laser scans require some power and lots of RAM that iPhone can’t yet deliver with its 15wat chip. It needs at least 32GB of RAM.

For that you have a Revo Mirror app , much better performance with laser mode .
