Revo Metro CPU vs GPU

Hi everyone,

I just bought an Inspire 2 scanner and succesfully used it for laser scanning.

I’m on an AMD 5900x cpu (12 cores 24 threads) the reported framerate is high (50-60 fps) but the movement and recognition on screen is somewhat jerky.

I’m wondering if and if yes how much a supported GPU would be an enhancement over my CPU. (I’m actually using an RX6600 which is not supported) and which gpu ? An rtx4070 would already be an improvement or do I need something better ?

Thank you!

Hi @Deffie83

You getting a very good frame rathe on your CPU , the RTX 4060 can reach it up to maximum 80-88 fps in laser mode ( Inspire2) depends of the whole system of course. I am testing on recommended system so for me RTX 4060 is optimal and other cards can’t make it faster anyway .

If your screen is choppy , try to turn off GPU asseveration rendering . Or adjust your graphic card settings to performance .

Aah great thank you for your feedback! Will try disabling gpu render acceleration! And look for a compatible GPU with relative urge

No problem , let me know if it worked out

Also make sure you saving your project on a fastest hard drive on your system before scanning . I used once my portable SSD and that made everything very choppy.
