Noticed something interesting today. These scans are done with my POP3. The scanner seems to be better in resolving horizontal lines than vertical lines as indicated by the clarity of the threads of the bolt. The subject is a M6 bolt and several M6 nuts, all painted in matt white. Turn table used. Distance in the too near / excellent range. Is this common to all scanner models ?
It is not always the case , remember that an object need to be scanned at 3 angles to have a full 3D accuracy especially if there are undercuts, the reason of vertical to horizontal position gives you more details because the pattern reached the undercuts .
