@Revopoint @PUTV can someone please explain what “Real Time AI targeting” is? “Real Time AI targeting” sounds like it belongs on a weapon system, not a scanner.
I know the need for EVERYONE to put the letters AI before everything now-a-days, but this just sounds like marketing BS.
I am confused as to what AI is targeting in a scanner?

Regarding the new real-time AI segmentation feature. This functionality allows for the instant identification and separation of objects or anatomical structures from raw sensor data, as it is being captured. By utilizing deep learning models to process point clouds on the fly, this feature significantly reduces or even eliminates the need for heavy manual post-processing, which will enable much faster workflows once fully implemented. It is actually very usable new feature.
Another new feature will be also Color tracking among other new cool stuff. But I don’t want to be the spoiler before the official announcement as it is not yet time for it.
While the software is still a work in progress and the product remains in its Kickstarter phase, I am very pleased with the POP4 so far. It is particularly impressive for organic scanning, and the laser modes are performing well. It is important to note that this is not intended as a replacement for the TrackIt or MetroY series, the target audience is different this time, focusing primarily on 3D artists, organic modelers, and those interested in the scan-to-print pipeline.
As the product is still being finalized, I cannot share more specific details just yet, but I look forward to providing a full assessment once the project is further along.
BTW my recommended system so reached the 105 frames per second as advertised and the scanning time is 50% faster using laser mode.
The laser mode accuracy may be slightly better than advertised so I would be not surprised if it hits 0.02 mm using single frame , just the n my comparison it was surprisingly good.
I will prepare my Showcase as soon as the project move forward with all its glory explain each of the new features in deeper review .

You select the area with a single click and it track it automatic while scanning .
Nothing to do with Meat’s illegal usage of AI segregation for different illegal purpose and should be not linked to this subject .
@PUTV I am not trying to debate this here, as that is not my intention. We can debate in private but I think you are confusing Meta’s (Meat–I love it) SAM (segment anything–https://ai.meta.com/research/sam2/) which is an open source segmentation model with something else. I was not able to find anything illegal about SAM or its purpose–which is why I think you are confusing it with something else.
I am also not here to discount anything that Revopoint is doing with their development. We can further discuss this in PM if you care to.

AI 3D segmentation is used in medicine to isolate anatomy for surgery, in robotics for scene understanding, and in gaming/design /scanning for easier editing mesh parts.
And no, Revopoint did not integrating Meta’s segment anything into the latest version of RevoScan.
