Need some help with Revodesign pro - Trim not working

Why does trim not work in this case?

I created a surface fit from a 3D sketch and wanted it to trim away the top part of this cylinder. The trim seems to work - you can select the top of the cylinder and it goes away as you expect. But on clicking ok, the top comes back again and the trim feature in the tree has a warning triangle. I have tried a few different examples using a fit surface and they all fail in the same way. In the end I used an extrude to surface and it worked fine which seems to prove there is nothing “odd” about the surface. Can QS trim a cylinder with a surface fit?

What seems to be happening is that when ok is clicked, the whole model disappears. It only looks like the parts are reappearing because the individual solids are turned on. The trim never takes place. I have tried with a simple plane as a trim tool and the result is the same, so it’s definitely not the surface. Auto trim gives the same result, the model is all deleted when clicking OK. I have tried a new install of the s/w and tried the Lite version, the same. Trim is just not working, Sent this same info to support on Tuesday, but no response. Not good after spending £5000!
