Model car body scan

Hi, I am new to 3d scaning and this forum so id like to take the chance o say hello before I launch my first question,

I have the range scanner that im using to scan model ca bodies. My scans are coming out semi ok with a semi usable level of detail. The problem im having is when I export to a third party program I can not give the scanned body any thickness. Any one have any ideas?

JJ! can you show your scan results? what is the software you work with?

Trust me you can make any thickness you want , extrude the scan with proper thickness if needed using your 3D modeling software .
