M Key Shortcut (Hold For 3 Seconds)

Just a quick question.

I noticed in the Revo Track 5.7.3 (which I’m on) that there is an option to hold the M Button down for 3 seconds to enable a shortcut.

Currently when I quick press the “M” key, it goes to Zoom in mode.

Am I right in saying that you can set the M key for another shortcut after being pressed for 3 seconds? If so, I cant find any option in Revo Track 5.7.3 regarding this.

Yes, ended up not being a quick question

The “M” button you can choose between having it toggle laser power and exposure, or have it zoom the preview window.

I never hear about 3 second option to add a different shortcut but I asked the team if you can add anything else . Will let you know when I get reply.

Hi, I have attached a screenshot. I understand the use of the M Key and I set mine for Zoom function, but its specifically listed on the downloads page about a shortcut option when you hold it for 3 seconds.

Just curious as I don’t see the options or reference to it in the Revo track version its referring to.

Thanks

Yeah but it is not for a new different shortcut, there are only options you are familiar with already. Nothing else, 3 sec push to switch .

On the release there was not option to switch the M button function , it was added later

P.S I just asked the R&D they said no new shortcuts or functions that was already there before

ha ha I am still confused!

When I press the M button, it selects whatever I have set in the preferences, Zoom in and out/toggle depth camera/switch between cross laser and single line.

I push the M button once and it immediately does what I told it to do. What’s confused me is the holding it for 3 seconds, trying to work out the point of that when its instant in the first place.

Sorry if I’m completely missing something here, but you can see why I assumed this was an additional function (Holding for 3 seconds)

I was surprised as you too after you told me because I know all documentation and manuals and also asked after directly .

If I remember good it suppose to have also function when using multiple scans tab , beside the zoom , brightness and exposure , try with that TAB . It maybe be just that as there is nothing else that I know of.

I tried the new feature this weekend and by long pressing the M-Buttom a small on-screen menu opens where to can toggle between the different settings the M-button controls. It is quite helpful since I mainly need to adjust expose and switch line modes while scanning.

Hi Sorry for the delay! Yes I have seen that now and it all makes sense, very handy!
