I have had an inspire 2 before and couldn’t really get on with it. So looking at the Pop 4. Parts I am looking to scan are mainly gears around 2cm to 5cm in size so looking for something that can accurately scan them. I have seen the official product page but of course real life isn’t always the same. Additionally there will also be parts like gear sticks, brackets, steering wheels etc
Would the pop 4 be suitable for something like this?
I am a bit fuzzy about markers to be honest, do they go on or around the item? As for small parts you would barely get one marker on them.
I am also max budget so couldn’t get anything more expensive.
They could be on or around the item. Most small sizes items will not have markers on them but simply around them. Some med sized items can be the same. Just markers on a table and some marker items around.
Something like a door panel would need markers on. This is all for laser mode, and items will have little-defined features.. If your item has good defined features you can possiblely use IR mode and featured base tracking. So no markers.
To scan small gears you need to use Laser mode and markers , this mean the markers can be used on the plate where you put your small gear . There is no other way to scan them in this case
