I get around 58 fps with GPU Acceleration in “Cross Lines” and I’ve seen it as high as 58.8 fps. It is very fluid and smooth. When I switch to CPU Acceleration I get around 45 fps and it is still smooth. So, I have to say GPU Acceleration works for my RTX 4000 Ada, but sometimes I’ll get a pop-up saying my system doesn’t meet requirement. Everything keeps working as it should, but its a little aggravating.
I am really impressed with how well and fast it acquires points. I’ve never used a scanner like this, but I’ve watched a lot of YouTube videos and this thing seems far superior to anything close to or even double its cost!
That are excellent results , and optimal , my CPU never go above 45-47 fps and never saw anybody’s else getting higher for that matter.
58.8 fps happening with my RTX 4060 as well but usually steady at around 57-58 fps what is an excellent result for current GPU acceleration no matter how fast card you use .
MetroY -series cables are designed to reach maximum capacity.
Again thank you for your input on that … that again proves that the system check is not so accurate and different components in the system can give false positive . Not surprise here .
Just curious if anyone has tried with an eGPU set-up? I might try something with a couple of the old HP ZBooks I have. I think the oldest I have is a G5, I think, I know it has TB3, and a friend has a TB3 eGPU with, I think an RTX 4070. I’m just curious, and it might push them back into service, as I’m considering upgrading my G10 fury to the G1i fury custom configuration
eGPU? You mean like portable GPU ?
I used one too standard RTX 3090 ti 24GB in my portable case connecting direct via thunderbolt USB C. Then I select the GPU to run the specific software on the " portable" GPU … This way I can use any PC graphic card with my laptop .
well that might be my setup just for scanning! at lest it will make them usefull again i think that G5 has 64G of ram and a few tb of hardrive cant remember graphic card but i know it only has 4Gb of vid ram because i was having problems with very large cad assembly back then and it will be a nvidia rtx of some sort
