i may have an issue? i delete points i don’t want after scan (with del key, backspace key and trashcan icon). but after apply they all come back? tried with cloud points or even polygons but they always come back. therefore i cant’ align my scans. do i miss something obvious?
They can’t come back @dogg if you removed them after fusing .
Merging tab only works with Fused point cloud so I am sure what happened you deleted the fragments after meshing it .. and since merge tab use only Fused point clouds , you need to remove it after Fusing only .
Fuse them manually , remove the parts you don’t want and merge after then you can mesh the merged point cloud , don’t use one click edit in this case.
i made 3 different scans of same object but i turn it a bit on the same support wich have markers to help each scanning process.
i got 3 scans which are not identical
i deleted all the cloud points from the markers and environnement only to keep those from the object i want to scan.
do do this i edit, del and apply for each of 3 scans only to have parts of the final object which are partially overlaping
i planned after that to align these remainging parts to have a more complete object
problem: when i go hit button to align. all the points are restored
(even if i deleted them and applyed they come back)
i can’t align with all the points because the target object have been slighty rotated to have differents pov
thing is before this update (i think) i don’t remind having this problem. just scan. delete what i don’t want. have some partial scans. align them and “voila”
i don’t understand why i edit my cloud points and apply changes they can comme back after? like it wasn’t applied
i tried to undertand what i do wrong not to really applied my edits but i didn’t find a simple process or video showing this.. i wil try to make a record of this to help showing more than my poor english
Yes please make short video of what you are doing , because what described is not really what is happening in the software and impossible if you followed the proper workflow , it would be better to understand your workflow if I see it
