Im trying to use the command terminal to get the hardware log to send to Revpoint customer support but I keep getting “Command not found”. I followed the walk through and don’t know what to do to retrieve the hardware log. Has anyone experienced this issue? I am currently waiting on customer support to respond with a solution.
Revopoint customer support sent me this link below to access a tutorial that uses the terminal command to access the hardware log files for a pop2 thats not working properly.
I am very sorry , I can’t help you with that since I don’t do hardware support , only customer support can handle it … the office is currently on vacation and so am I .
I can’t reach anybody to give me a hand in this case even If I try .
Please write back to support and ask them for assistance and wait patiently, you going to be helped , don’t worry .
I entered the command “chmod +x revoTool” and this prompted the iMac OS to request permission to open unverified program, I gave access to the program and I entered the “chmod revoTool” command again and it looks like it accessed the files in the folder.
I then tried original “chmod +x get.log.sh” input as per the tutorial I entered “sudo ./get_log.sh” and this time it returned with the file “vsdkConfig.ini”. I am not sure if this is the hardware log?
and then you should get, in the same directory, apart from a file named vsdkConfig.ini, another one named “log.txt”. This is the one they are requesting.
Support responded that the log info showed it was defective. They offered a pop3 upgrade if I pay the difference. I paid the differencea few days ago and am still waiting on confirmation. I hope to hear something back soon.
please stay in touch with customer@revopoint3d.com we do not handle orders in the forum .
The office is back from Holidays also so I suggest you write back to support as a reminder.
