Idea to add Miraco Pro to automated robot arm

What do you think about a full automated 3d scanning robot arm that can scan your object? Can this be done by attaching scanner to a robot arm and using AI algorithm to move in x,y,z? I’d love for Revopoint to bring out a robot arm that attaches to the 2 axis turntable and large turntable. Revo scan can be used to use PC or laptop cpu for AI algorithms especially ai supported cpu’s ultra 9 and X3D.

Revopoint needs to start ai automated robot arm campaign that supports all their devices to mount to.

I actually saw someone doing it with robotic arm and POP2 back then .
There was a lot of automatic attempts to capture the objects but 3D scanning is still an ART. Only AI can bring it to another level.

Do you think they will bring one out for us to add our Miraco scanner to it?

I can’t predict it , but the idea is great .
But as with all automatic scanners you still have issues with features, so featureless objects will still have issues while scanning . That why all the automatic robots failed when losing tracking.

I know that there was some prototype with automatic movements to scan in Far mode like for example automatic scanning for full body , but for some reason nothing I hear about it since .. hopefully something will be done in this direction soon.

The arm should be able to know where it is in space and in correlation to the object it is scanning. This would give it a more accurate scan. Also, it would be able scan the scanning environment before the object is placed, giving a template to delete the background.

I agree as it’s pita to remove background points after scanning.
