Everyone seems to be going for answer A)……I’m going to have to say it’s probably around B) 0.02 mm + 0.08mm XL(m).

The formula used for the MetroY Pro (0.02 + 0.04 x L) means:

There is a base accuracy of 0.02 mm.

An additional error of 0.04 mm is added for every meter of length (L) that is scanned.

Example:

For a small object (e.g., 0.1 m), the accuracy would be roughly 0.02 + (0.04 * 0.1) = 0.024 mm.

For a larger object (e.g., 1 m), the accuracy would be approximately 0.02 + (0.04 * 1) = 0.06 mm.

So yes it would be true what you say for scanning objects at once of 2 meters in size.

The question was about the base Formula and not based on the volumetric accuracy vs object size :wink:
