I’ve had a bit of time messing with RevoMeasure. Overall it is very intuitive to use, which is a plus. The gd&t lacks some functionality because of how alignment system can be set up. You dont have the ability to align the model or cad to any coordinate system. All you can really do is best fit them together and they are where they are.
A few bugs I’ve noticed:
-In the options, there is an option to change units, there is no option. its only mm.
-Point deviation points are extremely hard to see because the point becomes the same color as the deviation area. Make the point on the model black or white, not the same color as the actual deviation cloud its measuring.
-I’ve set my system to use the nvidia rtx a3000 gpu for the program, but when I rotate the model around it is relying heavily on the UHD graphics
-In the deviation map settings, when you highlight to change the tolerance value, it doesnt write over the highlighted number, it just adds to it. Example, I highlight 7.457, then type 5.0. Highlighting and pressing delete or backspace does not get rid of the values. Right now you have to click at the end, backspace to clear everything, then type.
Wants:
-The ability to select units when importing a scan or cad references
-ability to import native cad files
-Change in color or some indication of out of tolerance features. Holes for example, you have position, reference, and radius tolerance in the properties, but there is no indication if it is in or out of tolerance.
-The ability to add more steps in the legend. You basically only have 3 colors right now
-when selecting deviation points it would be nice if there was a display that showed you what it was before you double click so you know what point you are showing and creating a label for. I have two points that are basically the same color, but they are drastically different values
