No. There is no way to scan without lasers. The full field is a projection of the lasers.
For faces, I would just use an NIR scanner. If the Inspire is still on sale, that’s a good option.
You can’t scan a face using the laser mode , it has a protection and will not fire without markers.
You can scan a face with Full Field mode but it is not recommended by Revopoint so if you decide to do it , the responsibility is on you.
Use infrared scanner like Range, Inspire or Miraco to scan safety people
Does anyone know the laser wattage of the metrox?
They say it is a “Class 2M laser”. I do not have a wattage level, but that should get you enough info for safety exposure.
That was all that I could find on the power as well. I am surprised that most of the videos of the metrox show the person using it without any safety glasses.
I scanned, but only with my eyes closed. It’s shining very brightly.
Have you turn off the laser lights ?
Remember Revopoint do not take any responsibility for damage to your eyes if you use it not according to instruction or ignore the safety labels. It is up to you and you only.
Scanning with Full Field is not as much dangerous as looking into a sky on sunny day for a little while but using laser mode direct on your eyes is much more powerful, as the laser is much more focused. And personally I will never do it.
A “2M laser” typically operates at a voltage level between 2.7V and 3.3V. This is because most “2M” lasers are classified as Class 2M, which are low-power visible lasers with a power output below 1mW, and commonly use standard diode laser technology requiring a low voltage to operate.
Key points about 2M lasers:
Class 2M classification: This means the laser is safe to view directly with the naked eye but can become hazardous if viewed through optical instruments like binoculars or magnifying glasses., or starred directly in for a long time.
Visible light: 2M lasers emit visible light within the 400-700nm wavelength range.
Low power: The maximum power output of a Class 2M laser is typically below 1mW.
