Revo Metro point cloud - rendering frames listing

I have done some successful scans utilizing the laser cross lines mode in Revo Metro 5.8.5. One thing I noticed being listed for the raw unprocessed point cloud data is rendering frames. See attached screen clip. I found no mention of it in the Revopedia, manuals or online searches.

What is rendering frames in relation to the laser cross line mode?

Does it apply to all scan modes?

Thank you.

Hi @StephenR

Rendering Frames refer to frames that was successfully produced ( rendered ) to create the raw point cloud .

In other words, Collected Frames with a fancy word.

It has nothing to do in relation to anything , every scanner and mode is rendering Frames while scanning and the best of them are collected .

Also the preview of the RAW frames in the viewport is a virtual rendering of the all data from your project folder , so what you see is real time render , after fusing and meshing the software produces editable exportable model / point cloud but before that all you see is virtual rendition .

Ok, thank you for the information.
