I’m new to this software so hopefully you can point me in the right direction.
a) Is there anyway to create a section view of the solid model (not the mesh) seems like it should be there somewhere.
b) I notice that the measure tool(under analysis) only measures meshes, is there a tool for measuring distances on the solid?
c) I see that you can cntrl click two faces and the measurement, but it only seems to give the distance between them if the two faces are separated in the Z axis. I am trying to find out the distance in X between these two cylinders. I know I can calculate it from the radius’s, but it seems a fairly standard thing to want to do in reverse engineering s/w. You can see in the top RH corner it gives the distance 0.05mm, which it blatantly isn’t! CAD measuring seems to be very poor considering to objective and price of the s/w, am I missing something?
Any help greatly appreciated.
