Hanger for Revopoint Trackit Scanner - Easily "park" the hand-piece

Update: Fixed the screw hole size for better screw retention

Designed this hanger for the scanner of the Trackit.

Wanted to be able to “park” the scanner in between scans and making moving the Trackit around easier.

Here you can find the model and step files for the hanger: https://www.printables.com/…/1407976-hanger-for…

And here is the scan of the Trackit I used for designing: https://www.printables.com/…/1407719-revopoint-trackit…

Just finished the whole calibration with the new Release of Revo Track, will keep you posted on my first scan results.

Very nice job on this one Philipp, thanks for sharing !

Do you know if there will be an extension cable available between the scanner and tracker? Or atleast if the pinout of the cable is USB-C spec?

The original with 6m ist a bit too short for my taste (I get best results with fixing the cable to the legs of the tripod and therefore only ~4.5m remain.
Ok for normal scanning but as soon as I walk around the part I scan to get the top or parts of the other site the cable gets too short.

Yes I full understand, I will ask the team tonight and see if they plan to make a proper extension for the Scanner cable .

I do have my own extension cable that I used with MetroX , will try tomorrow to see if it works or not.

In the best case an extension would look like this. Since the stock cable is already an active one I guess it should handle an additional 2-3m without any problems.

I will test the shorter and longer one I have to see any difference in performance .

The way you portrait it is exactly how I would do it.

Tried my MetroX with a 10m active usb extension (between the USB-A port of the scanner cable and the pc) and had no problems with it

10 m is a lot , that’s great :+1:t3:

I did max 6 meters .

I don’t think it will be huge problem at all,as long the cable is a good data cable , preferably thunderbolt cable for fastest speed of data.

Did you already test the cables?

Not yet , will do tonight when back home.
