I’m loving my new POP 4, but I want to request broader GPU acceleration support in Revo Scan 6.
Right now, the software’s AI segmentation and high-speed laser tracking rely entirely on NVIDIA CUDA. I am running a flagship Intel Core i9-14900K paired with the new Intel Arc Pro B70 GPU (Battlemage architecture).
Because of the CUDA lock, my 32GB VRAM workstation card sits idle while my laser scan frame rates are capped, and AI features are totally locked out.
The Arc Pro B70 has incredible hardware-level XMX AI matrix engines. It is more than capable of running real-time AI background filtering and 3DGS if the software supports DirectML, ONNX, or Intel OpenVINO / oneAPI.
Please consider adding Intel discrete GPU support in an upcoming Revo Scan 6 update! There is a growing user base of creators using high-VRAM Intel cards who would benefit immensely from this.
Laser scanning acceleration at this moment is only supported via CPU & CUDA enabled GPU like RTX 3050 and up .
There is work in progress adding ADM Graphic cards to support GPU acceleration in the future but still a WIP.
Since you are running i9 14th Gen, you already archive g the maximum frames with laser mode and all the other modes so adding anything extra will not speed up the frames
GPU and CPU acceleration is only used while scanning using laser mode and the rest of the software processing is via CPU only since it is CPU based software . 3DGS is right now exclusive only via Nvidia graphic cards with CUDA support.
Thank you for your feedback, as usual it will be forwarded to the DEV.team for evaluation and future improvements.
