I like to carry a few of these in my pocket to hand out to people I encounter when I’m out and about doing my shopping and other errands.
I offer to give them a hand and greatly enjoy their reaction when I do so.

Do you ask them if they “need a hand”?

I usually ask “Can I give you a hand?” I’ve ‘handed out’ dozens this way. Only the most hardened grouches don’t get a kick out of it!
