Hey all,
I’ve got really good scans over last year with the MetroX, however scanning is not the Problem i’m a Noob in Modelling and CAD-Software and i dont know how i get these Surfaces clean in Revo Design or Meshmixer.
Usually i just cut a Millimeter in the Slicer to get the Surface clean but it doesn’t work on all Modells simply to formfactor.

You need to recreate the 3d scan in CAD.It is a manual process.
3d scanning is normally used to get the specs of the item.
Below are a few photos of a gear I recreated (reverse-engineered) in CAD.
You can see how the scan is very clean, but surfces are not going to be 100% flat.
