After 2 weeks of solid 3D scanning using the Trackit SR, I would like to suggest this change to the software interface. I think rotating the Top View 90 degrees would make it much quicker and easier to work out where the scanner handpiece is in 3D space.
I have made a mock up of the change below in Photoshop.
I also put these markings on the top of the Tracker to give a visual indication of the scan volume when “aiming” the tracker at the object to be scanned.
