It can convert your 3D scans from Revo Scan 5 or Revo Scan 5 MetroX into accurate CAD models. It supports STL, OBJ, PLY, and more. It is perfect for reverse engineering, industrial design, and automotive modifications.
Is there going to be a unlimited licence? I would really like to try this, and I would pay like 500 dollar for a software licence. But I don’t use it that much (yet) to buy that every year. I think there are much more customers like me…
It looks fantastic, a personal use licensing option would be great, 1 year would cost me $850 AUD, which is a bit much for something I might only use a couple of times and not make any money out of.
RevoDesign aka a trimmed down version and skinned version of QuickSurface.
for what I and I guess most users will use the RevoDesign for is to align XYZ axis of the 3D scan data.? the Price tag is hefty for the casual scanner.
30day trial for RevoDesign gives you a feel of what the app can do. However its not enough to take me away from the FREE GOM Inspect 2018 edition (available for download from cnet) that does alot more, granted with a steeper learning curve.
I think its a step in the right direction but.
I can’t get high poly count 3D models into my CAD software so I use QuickSurface lite (RevoDesign) to create surface models and sketches that I can import and use for design.
