Is there going to be a unlimited licence? I would really like to try this, and I would pay like 500 dollar for a software licence. But I don’t use it that much (yet) to buy that every year. I think there are much more customers like me…

For QS I would like a pay as you go service. So for example I could connect to a virtual machine via the web for x hours or days and pay for it.

I’m like you, I only need it sometimes and it’s actually too expensive for that.

It looks fantastic, a personal use licensing option would be great, 1 year would cost me $850 AUD, which is a bit much for something I might only use a couple of times and not make any money out of.

Yeah, that would be great, but unlikely because it is rebranded quicksurface lite which doesn’t offer such license either🙁

Ahh yes, good point :+1:

RevoDesign aka a trimmed down version and skinned version of QuickSurface.
for what I and I guess most users will use the RevoDesign for is to align XYZ axis of the 3D scan data.? the Price tag is hefty for the casual scanner.
30day trial for RevoDesign gives you a feel of what the app can do. However its not enough to take me away from the FREE GOM Inspect 2018 edition (available for download from cnet) that does alot more, granted with a steeper learning curve.
I think its a step in the right direction but.

Thanks for the heads up on gom inspect. This is the kind of info I need.

Only fool will spend that money to use it just to align XYZ axis of the exported 3D scan point cloud and meshes.

You have plenty of free software around that will do the same for free but not everything what you can do with " Revo Design "

I can’t get high poly count 3D models into my CAD software so I use QuickSurface lite (RevoDesign) to create surface models and sketches that I can import and use for design.
