Do you know if it is useful for 3d scanning? For that price it is a steal.

I don’t know what you mean by useful for 3D scanning … this software have no tools of any kind for 3D scanning/editing unless you plan to render things in it but there are free software that are better . This software is for animating figures/characters not scans . and uses Cycles render engine as Blender but old version so not as efficient . This software was good in 1998 for animating characters … but the golden times are long over …
P.S I am not sure if that website is legit , what they wrote is a lie " Pay $25 or more. Normally, the total cost for the software in this bundle is as much as **$1,249.
Not true this software normally cost $100-200 at max and belongs to Bondware

Incorrect.
You can pay the minimum amount, the rest is voluntary, and It is a donation to the institution mentioned in the description. This is clearly stated if you read carefully

It is not only the SW, it is the SW + additional content:
If the content is really worth that price… That cannot tell you
The whole software ( the latest Poser 13 ) with the content normally costs $ 249.95 , version 12 is no more sold on the official website .
the content they show on the page is from 20 years ago and I actually owned it back then .

and they selling the newest version for $249.95 with content together … I sent actually email just now to the original owner of the software what is Bondware .
