Paragliding Helmet - Scanning Frame

Hi, I needed to scan one of my Paragliding helmets to design an integrated Radio headset.

I need an accurate scan of the outside of the helmet, as well as the inside, so I designed and 3D printed a “ Scanning Frame” to allow me to have easy access to the inside of the helmet.

I used my MetroY Pro and am very happy with the results !!! No scanning Spray !!!

What do you think ?

GREAT scan! Is this one scan only or several merged? But I like this scanning jig/contraption even more  Is there a link to it? I surely would like to add it my collection of scanning jigs :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi Ivan, thank you, it is one scan. I will upload the scanning jig.

Thank you Cath, I should finish my Product Design Degree…I started it in 1993 LOL….

I will put together a parts list for the frame, it has M6 Nuts inside for the 6mm stainless rods.

It also has 1/4" x 20 TPI x 20mm Hex Rod Coupling Nuts in the corners for attaching Photo rig parts.

I also made 1/4" to M6 converters to fit everything to the Revopoint Automatic turntable.
