I was talking with a new client about using 3D scanning for car modifications.
He gave me a test of scanning the parts that go into a Constant Velocity joint (CV Joint) from a classic Mini Moke.
My Metro Y Pro did a great job with this test, and I now have a new client

Yes, it is a very old, worn CV Joint, you can even see the wear marks from the ball bearings.

Balls are available with Metro Ultra not Y …
LOL… yes, the ball-bearings. I didn’t bother to scan them because I know how to model a sphere LOL.
Luckily I can remember from my miss spent youth how to pull apart and re-assemble a CV joint, it is like a Chinese puzzle.
