API Access to Revo Scan Metrox for Robot Arm

Hi,

I’ve been working on a 3 Axis robot arm to precisely scan an object, while the object is rotating on the table. Working with an off the shelf robot arm at the moment, but plan to develop a DIY arm.

I’ve been thinking about adding a sensor to the head, which hold the MetroX, to maintain a constant optimal distance from the object, while the arms moves.

Is there a way to get an API function call, where while the RevoPoint Scan MatroX is scanning, that I can grab the data, where it is showing optimal distance?

I could then use that data, to keep the MetroX at the proper distance, while completing the scan.
