I’ve been involved with 3D scanning since before the turn of the century, which I guess makes me a pioneer. I use the scans I make to construct sculptures using a process of assemblage, and then output them back into physical reality using 3D printers or CNC carving machines. I’ve tried a lot of scanners, and I think the Miraco, which I just got, is a big step forward.
