# What is the continous power use amount? An idea for battery pack option

I figured I would ask the community before I started doing mad scientist experimenting. I aim to have a bag/pack outfitted with a battery source, allowing me to walk around with my scanner.

I already have a laptop pack for conducting camera shoots and field editing. I connect my laptop and Nikon cameras/accessories all through one bag with a few LiPO batteries.

If I knew the correct continuous required power amount, I could set up a battery pack and experiment with how long I could keep it running with different battery setups.

Hi!  
This is what I use on the go:

Imprtant specs: 12v , 3a output. This powerbank support PD (power delivery) protocol and regulates voltage automaticaly down to 12v (more would fry metrox)

I’ve read the nominal power also should be at minimum 30 or 35 watts. Mine is 45w so I am fine.

I use a cable like that to power my MetroX. I have another one that I use to power the dual-axis turntable. That way, I can use a USB PD power bank with two outputs to power the whole rig.  
It’s a pity those cables aren’t intelligent enough to trigger my laptop to deliver PD on its USB-C ports. That way I wouldn’t need any socket at all.
