Edit: I found some answers in the kickstarter FAQ so I have updated my post with new questions/answers.
Question 1:
What is the wattage of the entire system? Primarily the tracker which requires a power supply connection. I am wondering what kind of portable battery chargers would power the system + a laptop
Question 2:
When do I need to calibrate? Everytime I take the scanner out of the box? What about multi-position scanning when I need to move the tracker around a car? What if I have the tracker set up in a studio and turn it off? Do I need to calibrate every time?
Question 4:
Why can I NOT use the scanner outside?
Question 5 (answered)
Can you use the scanner independent of the tracker? While the tracker system is very impressive, it seems like a hassle to set up for smaller objects, especially since you mention that it takes 25 minutes to fully calibrate
Answer on kickstarter: You can use the scanner independently of the tracker with marker mode.
Question 6 (answered)
There are only blue laser modes on the scanner correct? This would mean that this scanner is great for inanimate objects, but not good for humans whose eyes can be damaged with the lasers
Answer on kickstarter: Class 1 lasers, avoid eyes.
Question 7 (answered)
What are the minimum and reccomended PC requirements to use this scanner?

Question 8 (answered) What is the length of the scanner cord that connects to the PC?
Answer on kickstarter: Trackit’s power cable is 4.5m, and the USB cables (Tracker to PC, scanner to Tracker) which use to scan are 6m, giving you enough length to move around the item being scanned freely.
