I was genuinely looking forward to the 5.6.5 update, but my initial experience is quite disappointing. Scanning the exact same object with the same settings and markers that worked fine in 5.6.4 now fails entirely — the software cannot detect any markers, rendering it unusable.
Scanning with cross-line mode, marker tracking, general scan type, and auto camera parameters. My system specs are: 3500 ADA GPU, 32GB RAM, and an Intel i7-14700HX.
Is anyone else experiencing similar issues with 5.6.5?

No I don’t experience any issues with marker detection, using recommended system . Big improvement from 5.6.4
This was impossible in 5.6.4 with this amount of markers .

After performing a calibration and changing the object type, version 5.6.5 is now working for me. Scanning is noticeably faster, which is great, although it seems to struggle a bit more with marker detection. I’m still fairly new to scanning, so I probably need to adapt my technique to get the most out of the update. Any tips or advice on how to improve scanning in 5.6.5 would be greatly appreciated!

I suggest you practice more and try to find your own workflow that works best for you.
Don’t use high laser brightness settings on light surface objects , don’t use Automatic settings unless your have object with different colors like partial dark and white.
For white objects I normally never use brightness more than level 7
Keep your markers at the distance of 3 cm at least and in unique pattern
Make sure your scanning area is steady and free from any shaking while scanning , even slightly movement can affect the scanning .
Stay away from bright windows light and direct sun
Markers are only detected where the laser lines shine over , don’t jump too fast from place to place but rather steady movements back and forth, best scanning experiences at 45 degrees
Don’t save your projects on slow hard drive, make sure your projects are saved on the fastest system hard drive for fast writing and processing .
Laser mode take time ,so be patient, capture at least 8000 frames per scanned area before clicking complete
