Revo 6.3.2 - Single Shot problem - no output

I recently upgraded to Revoscan 6.3.2 (had the lastest version of v5). I cannot get a ‘single shot’ to work. I connect the scanner, position the object so that the green bars indicate the positioning is ‘excellent’ then hit Single Shot. No number appears in the Frame counter, and no file is generated to process.

Can it be that Revo 6 does not support Single Shot scans any more? Is there a new function or setting on Revo 6 to progress single-shot scans?

Hi
Most important, what 3d scanner do you have?

Thanks for asking for clarification. I should have noted that I’ve used both the Mini 2 and the MetroY Ultra. Both get the same result when trying a single show via Revoscan v6.3.2. There is a suggestion that the new version of Revo (6.3.2) requires 2 x single shots to allow the backend maths to fuse the 2 frames into 1 file, and that the second shot needs to be from a slighly different angle. If that is indeed true it seems to defeat the purpose of a single-shot which is what my business is based on - speed.

Hi @Chrispy

MetroY uses Revo Metro.
Single shot mode is working as it should , if you can’t scan or paper there may be issues like not enough of features , since single shot uses technology that requires features for tracking , you can try TK use markers instead.

You should have at least 36 images taken fur one 360 degrees of single angle , then change the object position and scan another round .

Single shot was created to capture single frames to avoid blurring and vibration and provide stability for a better accuracy .
